Testimonials

This first edition of the European Material & Industry Venture Forum in Ghent evidenced a strong interest in innovations for a sustainable industry (materials, circular economy and industry 4.0).
The two-day program offered a good balance of in-depth discussions, coaching sessions, pitches, one-to-one contacts and insightful keynotes and panels.
The event’s success is particularly attributable to the presence of strong entrepreneurs and most of the investors active in this field. I am confident that the intense interaction will result in investments and other forms of co-operation. Mission accomplished.

First European Materials and Industry Venture Forum exceeded our expectations. Lots of interactions between investors and companies and almost all relevant material players in Europe were present making it a unique opportunity to exchange practices in a very particular field. The atmosphere within the community brought together in Ghent was very positive and we are looking forward to further follow up of contacts and opportunities established during the forum.

EM&IVF Ghent was extremely well organized and executed with a strong slate of participating companies as well as leading executives from worldwide Venture funds. The schedule allowed ample time for networking and in depth discussions, and the multi-judge panels that provided real-time feedback on company presentations was particularly valuable. This is an event I hope to be invited to attend in the future because participation was incredibly valuable.

The EMIVF is a fun event which gives VC, corporates and startups a fast dating opportunity.  I am impressed by the young talents among VCs and entrepreneurs: their energy, vision and effectiveness bringing good ideas to business viable products / services.

Some new materials are truly aligned with Logitech brand: a design company delivers value to our end-users with sustainability in mind.  These materials provide unique performances our end-users would love, our manufacturing partners would love their ease to process, Logitech and the society would benefit from its re-usability.

Exchange ideas with other corporate participants is equally useful.

Hank Han, Logitech

I was really impressed by the number and quality of the presenting start-ups and scale-ups.  In the era of booming ICT business I did not expect so many good companies in the somewhat neglected field of Materials and Industrial Processes.  This forum will give those dreaming of a start-up in this sector a boost.
