Overview

The first edition of the Eastern Europe Tech Tour will take place on 11-13 of June 2018 in Warsaw, Poland and Sofia, Bulgaria.

As in every year, we embark on a Discovery Tour to a region that has great potential for high-tech entrepreneurship. This year we are very excited to showcase a region on the radar for many. The region of Eastern Europe is realizing one of the highest economic growth and also is a hotspot for thriving entrepreneurial ecosystems that have generated $5 billion in liquidity back to investors in the past few years.

The Eastern Europe Tech Tour will showcase a total of 30 of the most promising high technology companies – 15 from CEE region (including Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Ukraine, Belarus and Hungary) in Warsaw and 15 from SEE region (including Bulgaria, Romania, Serbia, Greece, Croatia, Slovenia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Moldova, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina).

Entrepreneurial companies will present their business to an invited delegation of 40 international investors, active in the region as well as 40 local investors and regional key players.

The objectives of the Tech Tour are to:
1. Identify the next wave of top privately held companies from the Eastern European Countries.

2. Promote investment and partnering by introducing a delegation of international investors and top European entrepreneurs to the key players in this region.

Tech Tour goes Eastern Europe!

Alexander Galitsky - Chairman of the Eastern Europe Tech Tour 2018, Co-founder and Managing Partner of Almaz Capital

Working for a startup is becoming more and more acceptable in Eastern Europe, local governments are supporting regional innovation and VC ecosystems, so starting a technology company in the region today is easier than ever. Since globalization allows regional startups to tap large global markets from day one, my advice to local CEOs would be to rely on local strengths and aim at large global problems.

General Partner, Almaz Capital (Germany)
Co-President of Eastern Europe Tech Tour
